Found these two broadcasts interesting regarding infant baptism:
John MacArthur defending Believers Baptism

R.C. Sproul defending Infant Baptism

I find this topic interesting, so despite our dial-up internet I spent the time to download. It didn't entirely work, but I think I got the overall idea.
ReplyDeleteWhile both were fascinating and well articulated, I would have to agree more with (what I was able to hear of) MacArthur's. Taking the "desert island challenge" I end up on the Believers Baptist side, so I guess that should be no surprise. :)
How 'bout you?
Well... I have always believed in Believers Baptism because of how I was raised not because of my own doctrinal beliefs. My one friend gave me this site and I thought that it defended both sides well. I still feel that my beliefs are the same, but I definitely was fascinated by the defense Sproul gave.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, I feel that this issue should not be a means of separation (seeing others as less than their side) between believers as the Bible does not say infant baptism should or should not be carried out - even though I can see both sides defended from the Bible. And great theologians have fallen on both sides.
